New job ambition — Songbird

So I am fully in love with Songbird. Open source music player, fully functional in Windows, OSX, Ubuntu, etc — fully compatible with your iTunes music library, follows your iTunes updates, on and on — it’s amazing! It’s still got some bugs, and a few things I’d like to see carried over from iTunes (right and left keys = song change, space = play/stop, etc) but given that it’s just in its 0.2 build, it’s going to RULE when it’s done. I’m not of the mindset that iTunes is in any way a bad platform (also how I have no issues with Safari, really, just happen to think Firefox is a stronger platform and FREE), but this seems to incorporate everything I want from a player, is open, and has cute birds for the logo. Sweetness.
And look at this!

G’head, tell me that’s not ITP with more windows… Now to just graduate and go work for them!

(respect to Sean for noting it as well)

It’s like taking iTunes, ripping out the music store, and replacing it with the rest of the internet.
