Internin’

So this semester’s internship set looks like it’ll work out amazingly — working for Rushkoff doing stuff that’s here, there and everywhere (and apparently having brunch in places that Willam Defoe frequents, as he sat behind me last week), and working for Vision Education & Media two days a week, teaching audio software to kids in the Bronx at SoBroTec.

Just had a meeting with the Vision folks last week (who, it turns out, are like half ITP grads anyway), and got a full rundown on what they’ve been doing and where they’re going. They’ve been tied up lately with the Robofun cup they throw (and the kids’ entries were AMAZING), and now they’re getting ready for the new semester. They do a bunch of things, but the group I’m working with is based out of SoBroTech in the South Bronx, and this semester their work moves from Flash/animation classes to audio editing, which is more my home anyway. Yes, that’s correct — high school students are learning programs I barely know, and I’m at least 10 years their senior. *sigh*

But should be fun!
