So good news on the NIME front — SMS is still working very well, and I’ve gotten it to read six (and eventually ideally eight) simultaneous ins on the Arduino and map those to adjustable attributes. Here I’ve got those very simply mapped to a few parts of a sine wave:

And I’ve got a few sliders talking to it on the Arduino end:
So that works. The other half is switching it over from sines to samples, so I’ve got the basics for that going on here. Right now I’m importing sounds, mangling them with sliders (soon to be replaced with the Arduino ins), and going from there. It’s actually going pretty close to plan so far.
Next: actually making the mechanics work!
