Well, damned if I know, but Randy Sarafan (of Eyebeam and Parsons) made a good stab at defining it on Instructables. I nearly peed myself reading it, it’s that good. It does a great job of explaining how the hell to talk about art, and how the hell to get paid, laid or fed [...]
Much though I was greatly saddened to see it put on right in the middle of finals, BLIP! Festival hit NYC again for a second year, this time held in Eyebeam’s lovely main space. As with last year, it was an all-out blast — three days of 8-bit madness.

Got to attend MobileCampNYC for the first time this year (apparently a merging of MobileCamp and BarCamp), and had myself a BLAST. There are some brilliant, hilarious and slightly twisted minds in the mobile field in NYC, let me tell you.
