Problems.

Everything breaks. Every person and every system have different ways of addressing it. Being someone who tinkers with many things still in beta, I’ve seen a lot of crashy things lately.
Favorite error messages from this week:

…that last one was my boss. Kidding. Or at least I hope so.

Meta-Markets

So I’m both really stoked and a little annoyed, as we Social Bomb folk didn’t do it first, but MIT Medialab’s Burak Arikan (in collaboration with Cenk Dolek and Engin Erdogan) came up with this addictively fun game called Meta-Markets about trading internet currencies like your facebook profile, del.icio.us bookmarks and flickr photos as if [...]

Crickets in MAKE!

Wow.  This is really flattering.  And a little scary.
Crickets in MAKE.
The comments are my favorite though — some people are right in line with what I’m thinking of doing next (going more industrial, making them more of an installation and less of a throw-and-go item), and some are just worried about the cops.  I think [...]

Crickets written up on Octopart

The nice folks who write the Octopart blog did a really sweet feature on my Concrete Crickets, which is visible hurr. They’ve actually got a bunch of cool features coming on their blog and news sections, I’m told, so that’s exciting news as well.

Back from SXSW

…and so we’re here. Got in late to Josh’s last night with Adam and Kate, hung out with the crew assembled for a bit and [...]

my doctor, amazed by my camera

About two weeks before this semster started, I started having these incredibly strong pains in my stomach, and by mid-January I was having trouble getting out of bed. That’s not the point of this story — I was put on Prevacid for (assumedly) the start of a small ulcer, and I’m mostly-fine now.
The point, [...]

Dear blog, I’ve been rude and haven’t called. I haven’t written. I haven’t even stopped by to say hi on my way to the post office. I’m sorry. It’s [...]
