Ever pushed two flatpacked IKEA chairs through the streets of New York on a longboard? I have!
Eugene and I went to IKEA today to get two chairs for our pComp midterm project, [...]

It’s new, improved, and actually functional!

…sorta. It’s certainly started, at the very least. We made a little model out of fibercore (frame) and foamcore (cushions), and we got lights to blink when pressure was applied.

Making a vibrating loveseat

…yes, you read that right. I’ll put up a whole why-and-how show-and-dance soon, as Eugene and Tonio and I work, but here:

My [...]

Update: Photobooth watching

Note: this was posted last week, but I’ve added to it and re-tweaked it with some images and additional thoughts — thought it was only fair to change the timestamp.

This week’s assignment for pComp had us working in groups, observing… stuff. The requirements for the assignment were to watch something, anything, very very [...]

pComp Lab – 09.23.06

It works!!!

Ben C. has shown me the error of my ways, and in this case, my error amounts to a confused high and low setup. Swapped the order of some wiring, and the previously-broken circuit now goes blinkyblinky, either green (if the wires touch) or yellow (if they don’t).
Phew. I feel like much [...]
